The business promotes inclusion, but they continue to hire and promote people in the business whose values do not align with the message they are trying to convey so it is difficult and tiring in those inclusion groups to advocate to an audience that doesn't care.

I've always heard good things about Alcoa's commitment to diversity - I first joined the company on a women in engineering scholarship so I've always felt supported as a women in engineering. My department is also very diverse with employees of all different backgrounds and stages of life. A few chemical engineers have young children so it's encouraging to see women with young kids are supported and employed in Alcoa's workforce
