About the Role:

We are excited to announce opportunities within BDO's Audit practice, one of Queensland's largest and most prestigious auditing teams. We are actively seeking students who are eager to embark on their auditing careers with us in early 2024.

What We're Looking For:

  • Are studying Business/Commerce with a major in Accounting.
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualify for CA/CPA postgraduate studies, either through your university or CA ANZ directly.
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record.

Checking emails, liaising with clients to receive information on their R&D activities, writing/drafting activities according to AusIndustry guidelines/ITAA legislation. Calculating financial incentives and meeting with clients.

Pros and cons of working at BDO Australia

Pros

  • The culture in and out of the office is great.

  • My colleagues are always willing to get out of their way to help me.

  • Great opportunity to learn. People are nice and not getting annoyed when I ask questions.

  • Never any pressure to stay late.

  • The training is great, I have learned a lot in my time here.

Cons

    • Pay is relatively low, however this is industry-wide.

    • The graduate program doesn't rotate us through all the service lines.

    • Some managers are great and give constructive feedback. Others do not provide you with proper instructions.

    • Dishwashers are small... toilets are not flushed... desk are most of the time dirty.

    • Could include more women, however this is the industry.
