Take the first step in your career. Learn, grow, and be more at BDO!

Join BDO as an Accounting Vacationer in our Superannuation team in January 2026!

BDO is one of the world’s leading audit, accounting, advisory, and consulting firms. We provide a range of services to clients of all sizes and industries across Australia.

As a vacationer, you’ll see firsthand how our Superannuation team assists clients in navigating the complex and ever-changing superannuation landscape. They ensure Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations, provide expert advice on investment strategies, help clients understand the tax implications of their superannuation, and ensure they are taking advantage of all available opportunities to maximise their retirement savings and meet their financial goals.

Your role will vary from day to day and can include preparing activity statements, annual returns, and financial statements, compiling information to support transactions, correspondence with the ATO, and more.

 What you’ll get:

  • 4-week program completing full-time, paid work experience during the university semester break
  • Support from your buddy and manager
  • Networking and social activities with your vacationer cohort and the wider firm
  • Innovation activities that bring the cohort together
  • Opportunities to learn and develop both technical and people skills
  • The little things like free brekkie, healthy snacks, and dress for your day
  • To experience a culture of opportunity, connection, community, and impact

What you’ll offer:

  • Your knowledge from your current studies in Accounting or relevant undergraduate or postgraduate CA/CPA eligible degree.
  • You will be in your penultimate or final year!
  • Your availability to commence in January 2026 for 4 weeks. The length of the program and available intakes may vary in each location.
