Current Opportunity

BDO's Brisbane Corporate Finance team of approximately 30 professionals is one of the largest and most accomplished Corporate Finance team's in Brisbane. We are a multi-disciplinary team and our staff have the opportunity to work on engagements across a range of corporate finance specialisations including valuation, due diligence, financial modelling, mergers and acquisitions, economics and infrastructure advisory.

We partner with small, medium and large organisations to support them in identifying and facilitating opportunities in Australia and across the globe. We have a hands-on and practical approach and a deep understanding of the Corporate Finance industry locally and internationally. We are seeking students who are interested in joining our Vacation Program and establishing a career in Corporate Finance.

Our Corporate Finance Vacation Program will give you the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the execution of live engagements
• Work and interact directly with experienced corporate finance professionals at various levels, including analysts, managers and partners
• Gain exposure to engagements across multiple corporate finance disciplines for clients operating in various industries
• Receive excellent mentoring and support over your Vacation program period.

We welcome students who:

• Are currently in their penultimate year (graduating in 2021) of a relevant degree (for example, Commerce, Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, Economics)
• Are interested in pursuing CFA postgraduate study
• Display strong academic achievement
• Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Have the ability to devise solutions to abstract problems
• Have a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service
• Are involved in extra-curricular activities
• Are able to specifically address in their application and cover letter why they are interested in BDO Corporate Finance – refer to our services for further understanding
• Display an understanding of BDO report writing style - refer to our publicly available Independent Expert's Reports for an indication of our report writing style
• Are an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or a Permanent Resident at time of application

• Successful candidates will be invited to attend an assessment centre by Thursday, 27 August 2020. Our Assessment Centre will be held on Tuesday, 01 September 2020 – we ask for you to keep this date available

• Should you be successful, you will complete your placement 23 November to 18 December 2020 or 18 January to 05 February 2021.
