Your role

As their Bulk Sales Engineer for NSW, you will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining all BOC products and services for accounts in a nominated market sector/area that require support and technical application expertise with an individual customer revenue potential ranging from $30K - $1M. You will also be responsible for being the interface for the bulk business to each local sales region. Your role will be to facilitate and capture the best outcome for BOC by providing market intelligence/analysis and promote strategies to drive bulk product sales whilst working collaboratively across all Market Segments. 
  
Whilst this role is based from North Ryde, regular travel is required. This role would suit someone with a strong business development background, who can communicate with influence in a sales capacity and has the capability to develop an understanding of the technical component of the products to sell the benefits.

Additional responsibilities in the role include: 

  • To manage the overall accountability, service, delivery and financial performance for each contract in the nominated market sector. 
  • Manages, reviews and implements changes to accounts as required based on performance. 
  • Reviews customer’s strategies in line with changing customer need to determine current and future opportunities for BOC. 
  • Leverage technical and industry knowledge to identify potential new opportunities.
  • Identify and quantify growth objectives for target customers and create a strategy to capture this business against target milestones et out in the plan. 
  • Prospects for new customers while growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio. 
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue/profit and performance targets through accurate forecasting, prospecting and management of the business portfolio.

About you

  • Demonstrated industrial gases or market sector related industry in an engineering or business development related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of customer needs and technical expertise within a market sector. 
  • Tertiary qualified in an engineering, science or other related discipline would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills. 
  • Good time management and project management skills. 
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
