BP is not without its faults. Everyone, large company or individual, makes mistakes. The important thing is what they do after the mistake has happened. Do they learn from it and aim to close any gaps they may have? Or do they sweep it under the rug and continue operating in the same manner. BP is the latter, they aims to right their wrongs and strive to operate as safely and efficiently as possible.

Support for indigenous communities, the homeless and cancer sufferers to name a few

Supports the McGrath foundation. Volunteer leave is available if you want to take it on an individual basis. Strong and apparent focus on doing the right thing by people/environment when accidents happen or hard decisions are made i.e. closures.

BP created Opal fuel, the non-aromatic petrol. I have personally worked with non-profits supported by BP such as Project New Dawn, which helps homeless people get back into a sustainable living position, with a job and housing.
