Who We Are:

Dolby Australia is a key R&D hub for Dolby Laboratories, with over 150 engineers, scientists and researchers, working on core technologies, including Dolby Atmos, Dolby Voice, Dolby On, and Dolby.io. Technology developed by the Dolby Australia team is deployed in devices across the globe, from mobile phones and laptops to soundbars and TVs.

Our teams build functionality for Dolby.io’s media and communications API platform, enable musicians to master recordings right from their phone with Dolby On, and work on innovative orchestrated sounds for the homes of tomorrow.

We’re committed to being a part of creating a more diverse and inclusive world of belonging. Different backgrounds, perspectives, and beliefs bring critical value to our business, and we’re driven by the knowledge that diverse talent enhances our ability to imagine, innovate, and grow.

Dolby Australia has created a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to affirm our commitment to build strong and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, provide a framework to be inclusive in our work, and contribute to national reconciliation.

What is the opportunity:

The Dolby U internship program offers impactful, project-based work experience in a collaborative, creative environment where you work side-by-side with industry leaders. I love that I am able to design algorithms and train neural networks in a research context, on audio, and within Australia. Also, we have the coolest labs! And movie days too!
