I have asked my manager multiple times what I should work towards or what should my target be to improve. His response was basically, do more work outside of what you are assigned. (We are usually given tasks to complete on a biweekly basis. So I was asked to just purely do more)

The managers are generally very accessible and happy to help and give guidance. Dolby follows a cyclic performance review system so that employees can discuss their overall progress as well as regular one-on-one meetings with managers.
