phone interview; face interview
Graduate, Melbourne - 28 Feb 2018
I submitted an online application and then didnt hear anything for about 4 months. I then got a phone call and was expected to be available for an interview in Melbourne in 1 week. Unfortunately I was in the UK on holiday. I considered this to be rude given the un-timely response I received from Jacobs. Because I was overseas I conducted an interview via skype, and the manager got the time difference wrong, and I was greeted with only 1 of the 3 interviewers that were meant to be there,

- Be yourself. The manager who interviewed me mentioned this to me at the end of the interview: "We can teach you any kinds of technical skills that you need, however basic character cannot be taught" Overselling oneself in the interview might not be recommended. Ensure you actually have done it then you can claim it - Be a consistent and diligent individuals. Show by proper examples that you are not the type of person that backs out in adversities. They understand that grads might not have many experiences, however the character of a person is what they are looking for -
