We have a superb opportunity for an ambitious an ambitious Investment Advice Support Officer to support this team in successfully managing and developing their business through the provision of exceptional administrative and marketing support. Your assistance will help ensure that JBWere remain leaders in wealth advice – always putting our clients first.

A typical day for me will look like:

  • Responding to client queries in an efficient and effective manner
  • Establishing and maintaining client accounts
  • Providing client reporting on a quarterly and ad-hoc basis
  • Management of the team’s prospects and opportunities, whilst maintaining client relationship systems
  • Liaising with Operations as required to facilitate workflow
  • Managing CRM systems and ensuring all documentation is captured correctly
  • Proactively managing risk and compliance through performing and adhering to policies, processes and procedures – escalating any events, losses or breaches incurred
  • Assisting teams in preparing Records of Advice (ROA) and Statements of Advice (SOA), pitch documents, portfolio reviews and marketing material
  • Supporting the advice teams to execute and deliver business-wide initiatives and opportunities to achieve desired outcomes
  • Support continuous improvement in our business

What skills & attributes will I need?

  • University Graduate in a relevant or outstanding field
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding an interest in financial markets
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • High-attention to detail and good with numbers
  • Strong interpersonal and rapport building skills
  • Ability to manage and meet set expectations and timeframes

Pros

  • Amazing Culture and People. Employees are valued and recognised for the hard work that they put in. The company has a very supportive environment and has many different learning and development opportunities available."

  • Flexible working (WFH), emphasis on work-life balance. Big organisation so lots of areas to get involved in and explore.

  • Great learning opportunities - 3-4 rotations depending on your dream to get exposure to different parts of the bank. Good work-life balance.

  • Employees are recognised for the hard work and initiative that they take which gives them the opportunity to further our career development.

  • The graduate culture is amazing and everyone is very social and happy to catch up.

Cons

    • Sometimes we have to navigate lots of old tech and systems.

    • Because it’s such a large organization, it can be tricky to know the ins and outs of what each function does, but that comes with time, experience and exposure.

    • Sometimes have to work long hours.

    • There were lots of stages of the interview process

    • We don’t get any bonuses. Apparently they used to but they stopped a few years back.
