Pongpol Sutaputra

In these meetings, I could be meeting with our internal teams, partners across different departments in Government, and industry partners from private sectors that help us deliver our digital projects.

5.45 AM

Sleeping – a good night rest is important. Please do not disturb.

6.30 AM

Around this time, I usually wake up and prepare for the day.
This means I make a loaded Nutella and Peanut butter sandwich to take to work (to the surprise and concern of my colleagues).

8.00 AM

By 8 AM I would be out of the house and stepping into the bus on my way to the city for work! Usually, I would put some nice music on, watch some shows or catch up with some news on the ride.

8.30 AM

Depending on Brisbane’s traffic – I will usually arrive at the office around a quarter to eight.

The first thing that I do when I get to the office is saying hello to my colleagues at work and put my lunch in the fridge. Sometimes when I have a bit of extra time, I would also grab a cup of tea because caffeine.

After that, I set up my workstation (laptop), and check and update my Outlook calendar, project planners, and task lists for the day. I then check the email for myself and the team inbox which I also help manage.

Hi Richard, Hi Brendon.
Hi Richard, Hi Brendon.

9.00 AM

I consume my (very tasty) sandwich as I continue working.

10.00 AM

Roughly around 10 (and beyond) is when meetings usually happen around my teams. In these meetings, I could be meeting with our internal teams, partners across different departments in Government, and industry partners from the private sectors that help us deliver our digital projects.

My role in these meetings could be anywhere from providing support and facilitation, to giving inputs, ideations, and on occasion leading the meetings myself for the projects my team is working on.

12.30 PM

Around mid-day this is when I usually stop for lunch. Usually, I would head to the office kitchen and grab my packed lunch out of the fridge to heat up.

In the meantime, and usually during lunch, I would meet my colleagues from different teams around the office, and chat with them over some food.

I have had quite a few interesting conversations with them, ranging from things like their home-made Malaysian style cooking (which smelled amazing), to their career journey and insanely high-profile digital projects that they have developed (e.g., Digital Identity).

1.00 PM

By 1:00 PM I wrap up my lunch and clean up, and head back to work.

I start my afternoon with checking my calendar again for any new meetings and/or tasks that may have appeared.

4.30 PM

By 4:30 PM I usually would start wrapping up my work and projects in progress during the day. I will store the information where they belong and make some reminders and progress updates for myself.

I would also make sure that all urgent tasks have been completed and allocated or planned as appropriate. I also start thinking about what to cook for dinner.

4.55 PM

At the end of the day before I depart for home, I usually spend a few minutes to revisit my task lists – to check off the tasks I have completed and updated and add new tasks for the upcoming day.

After that is done, I pack my bags, and say goodbye to my colleagues who remains in the office.

5.30 PM

I usually take the bus home roughly around this time.

6.00 PM

I arrive home, make dinner, and pack food and clothing for the following day before retiring to rest.

9.30 PM

Bedtime!
