One of the beauties about working in the Systems team was the experience to diversify my knowledge on not just specific subsystems, but also the management aspect of the project.
I completed this placement in conjunction with my thesis where I learnt all about condition monitoring and vibration analysis. The result of my project has the potential to be applied across each of the mine sites.
The most rewarding part of my role would be finding operational improvements on-site / assisting the Team Leaders and Operators in my team to get to their full potential.
Some of my tasks are tracking and paying invoices for work completed by consultants, preparing fee proposal requests, and reviewing budgets for the current and future phases of the project.
