I am currently assisting the Project Manager of the Data team deliver projects and solutions in this space. This means constantly communicating with various external and internal stakeholders across the business in addition to attending a lot of meetings on a day to day basis. My responsibilities are to ensure a smooth project delivery and to assist in any possible to reach that outcome, even if i have to do odd-jobs here and there.

Pros and cons of working at PEXA

Pros

  • I have gained experience in multiple areas that I did not believe I would get.

  • The variety of opportunities available around the business. During the graduate program I have been able to do BA work, DevOps, testing, automation and much more.

  • Extremely welcoming company to work for. They definitely excel at making employees feel welcome.

  • Corporate Culture - Everyone is so welcoming and friendly The level of support provided The flexibility in work/life and career opportunities Dual monitors! Fully stocked kitchen and bar (Friday only) Office with panoramic views Semi-casual dress code

  • Flexibility

Cons

    • Felt like because I was hired in the technical space, I had to stay there.

    • The rate at which everything moves, it can sometimes be difficult to stay up to speed with what is going on with the business.

    • Quite a lot of different working ways across the company. Not a lot of standardisation which means moving between teams can be a little tricky.

    • The food gets snapped up too quickly
