Pinsent Masons Graduate Programs & Internships

  • Law

Pinsent Masons is one of the world’s leading law firms, with a rapidly growing presence in Australia built on a reputation for outstanding work for clients and genuine care for its people.

We focus on five key sectors: Energy, Infrastructure, Financial Services, Real Estate and Advanced Manufacturing & Technology.

Our practice teams – Finance & Projects, Property, Risk Advisory Services and Transactional Services (includes Corporate, M&A, Employment) – work collaboratively across these sectors.

The result is work for blue-chip clients on the full lifecycle of vital projects and transactions that shape markets across the world.

In Australia, we are rapidly growing with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. We are well connected into our global network, which results in rewarding work and unique career opportunities.

Most importantly, we are a purpose and people led law firm.

Our purpose is to make business work better for people. That means constantly questioning how the world works and then being bold with our responses.

Our people are what drive this purpose. We want people who bring their own unique experience to the firm, are constantly curious, and who meaningfully connect with their colleagues and clients. In return, we provide an environment where our lawyers can drive their development, work flexibly and learn fast.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • The culture and growth of the firm in Australia. It has a small firm culture with the backing and resources of an international firm.
  • The culture is very inclusive. Flat management and open space working. It is very easy to communicate with colleagues no matter what level of seniority they are at. Very international firm that receives support from the UK.
  • The people and culture are beyond amazing, I have never worked in a law firm that is truly as flexible as Pinsent Masons.
  • Supportive team, plenty of opportunities to get involved in areas of interest, useful training tailored for graduates and the chance to work on interesting matters that make headlines. From an early stage, you can get involved in client meetings, corresponding with clients and be given responsibility on matters. There is also an emphasis on diversity and inclusion as well as flexibility.
  • Great opportunities to get involved in good work at a junior level that you wouldn't get access to as early at some other firms. There is also a great community and culture that makes coming into work enjoyable and fun. Hours are very reasonable for the industry.
  • Lack of benefits e.g. no gym membership.
  • Lack of quite rooms/meeting rooms on the days that are busy in the office
  • Lack of healthy snack options.
  • Difficult to get involved in complex matters as a graduate
