Gender Equality at Arup Australia

Arup champions gender equality through inclusive policies, partnerships, diverse leadership, and fostering an empowering work culture for all.

Arup has embraced a comprehensive approach to gender equality, inclusive of targets to ensure a gender balanced workforce at all levels of the business. This target is a ratio of 40 per cent women, 40 per centmen, and 20 per cent open across all levels of the organization. 

As a testament to its commitment, Arup has become a signatory to the United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles and a partner organisation with UN Women Singapore.

In addition, Arup demonstrates this commitment through the following:

  • 500 Women in Property initiative
  • WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation organization
  • United Nation's Women's Empowerment Principles

Early Careers initiatives: 

  • Partnership with Dream Big, a not-for-profit committed to advancing women's development in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM)
  • Women in Engineering Scholarship in partnership with UNSW 
  • Support of G.E.T (Girls Engineering Tomorrow) program with Curtain University
  • Internal Connect STEM initiative, working with external partners to increase women in STEM
