Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders at Essential Energy
Essential Energy’s network area overlaps with the lands of 48 First Nations. From Bundjalung Country on the north coast, to the lands of the Wiljali people out west and Ngarigo Country in the Snowy Mountains, as well as many more First Nations across the diverse landscapes in which we work and live.
We are focused on creating education and employment opportunities for First Nations people, through trade and professional career pathways.
Through these programs, more First Nations people are joining and growing within our workforce – and contributing their skills, capabilities and unique life experiences. We are proud to offer Identified career pathway opportunities for First Nations people through our Traineeship Programs and Scholarship opportunities.
We work closely with a number of external partners including Clontarf Foundation, Stars Foundation and On-Country Pathways to provide the latest resources and support for our employees and for our regional communities. We are proud of these partnerships which are a positive step towards a more inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
