Lendlease provides a lot of opportunities to progress into different roles.

All of my experiences have been positive. There have been many projects with strong social and environmental targets. For example social procurement targets on some projects include local procurement, employment of disadvantaged people, employment of First Nations people, working with social enterprises. I am also strongly encouraged by the strong net zero and absolute zero carbon targets.

The teamwork and cooperation within the office/on-site has been amazing. Despite clear structure and roles within the office, there is little cause for hesitation when it comes to communicating issues with any of the site engineers, PE's, SPE's or CM. The culture is built in a way that you can communicate with everyone in the office. On top of this, the out-of-hours culture has been amazing, with after works drinks occurring regularly, Christmas parties and post-work fitness clubs. All of these events are very inclusive and always welcoming.

As a woman in construction, I have felt incredibly welcomed on my site. You can immediately tell Lendlease has a strong emphasis on promoting diversity as there are so many women on site. This includes both Lendlease employees and trades. There are also a lot of social sustainability targets, aiming to create a more supportive environment. I was also very encouraged to see so many of my colleagues (both male and female) taking parental leave. It was also amazing to hear one of my colleagues got access to childcare subsidies which wouldn't have been available to them through any government schemes. This allowed their partner to return to work when they were ready.

I like how varied my day to day responsibilities are and how they allow me to work with different people with different skills and expertise.

My manager is always available when I need him. He has weekly catch ups with everyone to monitor progress, performance, address any concerns, etc. He is always aware of all aspects of the project so he can help anyone.

A+++ Great site office in an existing building with great kitchen facilities and plenty of breakout spaces. Dress code is smart casual - button up shirt or polo with jeans, interchangeable pair of shoes and pair of work boots.

For such a large company they make you feel really welcome during the interview process and understand that you can be nervous.

I think my pay is very reasonable for an undergrad obviously working as a casual undergraduate I do not expect Bonuses at this stage

I have undertaken a number of training programs on their company web page that involved areas of sustainability, business communication, management and health. In the undergraduate program there was multiple training programs of various areas of the business (digital, commercial, sustainability, cost planning, design). I also received alcohol and drug training as well as training for a white card.

I was expecting 10+ hour days plus Saturdays, however there is a big focus and movement towards work/life balance at Lendlease. As an undergrad they capped us at 45 hrs a week maximum. My construction manager would often talk about the importance of work/life balance.

There are a lot of initiatives to improve environmental footprint. The most impressive goals are net zero by 2025 and absolute zero by 2040. Lendlease use a lot of renewables and are bidding for many environmentally conscious projects such as those seeking Greenstar.
